The Balearic Islands have a Mediterranean climate, with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. Temperatures vary between 16°C in winter and 32°C in summer.

Winters in the Balearic Islands are rather mild, with temperatures around 16°C in January and frequent rainfall. This is not the best time to visit the islands.

Spring and autumn are the best seasons to discover the Balearic Islands. Rain is infrequent, the sun shines and temperatures are favourable for visits. September is a special month, with a temperature of 28°C and a water temperature of 25°C, where you can bathe in the warm sea after a day of discovery. From October onwards, rainfall begins to fall.

In summer, rainfall is minimal and temperatures can reach 32°C. The beaches can be enjoyed especially in July and August, when the sea temperature rises to 26°C. But be careful, you won’t be alone on the beaches.

The Balearic Islands have a Mediterranean climate. What you wear will depend on the season you decide to go. Most of the time, the Balearic Islands receive their biggest influx of tourists in summer.

At this time of year you should wear light clothing to cope with the high temperatures. Don’t panic if you get the weather forecast wrong, you’ll find something that suits you better.

To show off on the beautiful beaches you will need your best swimming costume. If you don’t want to stay on the beach and want to explore the island’s hiking trails, take good walking shoes.

If you want to enjoy the beaches, don’t forget your sunscreen.

If you want to take home a souvenir of your experience, you will of course need a camera to capture the unique moments of this Animafest experience.
