Andalusia is the autonomous community with the largest number of inhabitants and the second in Spain on the surface. The variety of its landscapes, the benign climate and the hospitable nature of its people have made it one of the most attractive regions for the visitor.

Its 3000 hours of sunshine a year, its mild Mediterranean climate and its extensive coasts of golden beaches with beautiful natural ports, already served as a safe haven for the Phoenician navigators a thousand years before Christ.

Andalusia has two types of beaches, which correspond to the Atlantic Ocean on the coast of Huelva and Cadiz (Costa de la Luz), which are wide, with fine sand and strong swell; and those of the Mediterranean that range from the Strait of Gibraltar to Almería (Costa del Sol, Costa Tropical and Costa de Almería), sheltered from the winds and with warmer waters.
