Many know them as the sun of Europe and stand out for their mild temperatures and natural surroundings. In fact, five of its islands (El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote) and the western half of Gran Canaria and the Anaga Massif of Tenerife are declared Biosphere Reserve. The archipelago also has four National Parks. One of its main attractions are its beaches, perfect for resting sunbathing or practicing water sports such as windsurfing and scuba diving.

Inside, you’ll find amazing landscapes that encourage hiking, cycling, climbing or even caving. Among the most striking are the volcanic landscapes of Lanzarote, the dune beaches of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, the green forests of La Palma and La Gomera or the tranquility of the sands of La Graciosa.

In the Canary Islands, you will also find cultural proposals such as knowing the monumental complex of San Cristóbal de la Laguna (in Tenerife) declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO; or the works of César Manrique in Lanzarote. If you go in the month of February, you will also enjoy the very fun Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
